Description
Are you interested in giving back to the outdoors and welcoming a diverse crowd into the Trout Pond Recreation Area? Become a Campground Host at the Trout Pond Campground! Trout Pond is located 14 miles from Wardensville, VA. The Trout Pond Recreation Area boasts two bodies of water, Rock Cliff Lake and Trout Pond. Relax on a sandy mountain beach or fish for stocked trout while relaxing along the cool waters of Rock Cliff Lake.
Trout Pond, home to native Brook trout, is the only natural lake in West Virginia. A designated swimming area, easy lakeside trails, and a children's playground make this a perfect family destination.

Your Role
As a Campground Host, you'll serve as the friendly face of the campground, assisting visitors with information, maintaining facilities, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all who stay.
Potential Duties
Duties can vary depending on individual preferences and abilities and are agreed prior to Host's arrival.
- Cleaning Bathrooms
- Maintaining Reservation Cards
- Picking up Trash
- Assisting with Camper Check-Ins
- Handing out Fee Envelopes
- Mowing
- Leafblowing
- Minor Maintenance
Campground hosts are asked to work 3-5 days a week for approximately 15-30 hours a week. Hosts are given at least 2 days off to enjoy the area and to relax.
Preference will be given to volunteers who can stay for longer than 1-2 months for the season.
