Position: Social Media Manager (Volunteer with Stipend)
Organization: Far Corners Community Musical Theatre
Location: Remote/Virtual
About Us: Far Corners Community Musical Theatre (FCCMT) is a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to staging musicals in underserved communities worldwide. We emphasize collaboration, diversity, multilingual communication, professionalism, and social relevance, offering young people opportunities to grow through performing arts.
Position Overview: FCCMT is seeking a creative and organized Social Media Manager to join our volunteer team. This remote/virtual position includes a small stipend and full training. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing our presence across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and LinkedIn, to increase visibility, engagement, and support for our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, schedule, and manage engaging content across all FCCMT social media platforms.
Maintain a consistent posting schedule that aligns with FCCMT's values and initiatives.
Create and edit visual content using Canva (or similar design tools) to enhance posts.
Collaborate with the Managing Director and other team members to align social media strategies with organizational goals.
Attend monthly virtual meetings with the Managing Directors to provide updates and plan content strategies.
Respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media in a timely and positive manner.
Monitor and report on social media performance metrics, suggesting adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
Passion for the arts and commitment to FCCMT's mission.
Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands.
Proficiency with Canva (or similar tools); basic graphic design skills preferred.
Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Spanish language proficiency highly desired.
Excellent organizational skills and creativity.

Description
Far Corners Community Musical Theatre stages musicals in communities where, due to economic limitations or geographic isolation, opportunities for participation in the arts have been limited or nonexistent. FCCMT volunteer staff members act as the producers, directors, musical directors and choreographers. The cast and crew are drawn from the local community as well as international program participants.
