Expanding Visions Foundation is looking for 2 volunteers, with a passion for helping youth, to teach high school students Career Readiness skills alongside an EVF Facilitator. We'll teach them how to interview, write resumes, perform self assessments and aspects of being a professional. The curriculum will be provided and we will work with a group of 10-15 students.

This is a workshop taking place at Linden McKinley STEM Academy on Thursdays from 9:30am - 11:00am February 13th to March 13th.

The Expanding Visions Foundation employs proven coursework and relationships with employers in Central Ohio to equip students with the skills necessary to excel in the workplace.

Description

The Career Institute teaches students about the importance of professional development. Through lecture, mock interviews, and take-home exercises, students learn vital lifelong career skills. We train high school students, opportunity youth (ages 14-24) and adults. The curriculum is composed of three modules and volunteer facilitators are needed to help lead the instructions. Each Career Institute session is scheduled for 1.5 hours one day per week over the course of 8 weeks. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a monetary reward along with items to help them be successful in the workforce.
