The T.A.D.A.A. program (Teens and Adults with Disabilities Advancing Autonomy, Advocacy, and Awareness) is offered during the summer at L.A. GOAL, an agency that provides services for adults with developmental disabilities. This program gives you an opportunity to make a difference by volunteering at L.A. GOAL, while fulfilling community service requirements!
Teenagers who work in our program will be required to make a six week commitment of at least one day per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00-2:00) between July and August. Volunteer positions are available in our Art/Sewing Studio, Office Work Training Program, Adult Education Classes, Custodial Maintenance Program, and Poetry Program. Teenagers will often work both in group setting and one-on-one with our members. Please contact for further information about our programs, requirements, or if you have other questions.
The program officially starts July, and runs until August, so contact soon if you're interested!

Mission Statement
L.A. GOAL's mission is to provide adults with developmental disabilities a secure, lifelong base, allowing them to safely and confidently increase their independence by interacting within our educational, vocational, and recreational programs. By providing community education, we break down barriers that separate people with developmental disabilities from society.
Description
Based on L.A. GOAL's mission, the T.A.D.A.A. (Teens and Adults with Disabilities Advancing Autonomy, Advocacy, and Awareness) program was created in 2003 by two teenagers who wanted to expand the community and overall awareness. Teen volunteers in this program work throughout the summer, either working with members in our Art/Sewing studio, Job Training Program, Custodial Maintenance Program, or Adult Education Classes, as well as many more projects and programs that are available. Overall, the T.A.D.A.A. program offers teenagers an incredible opportunity to grow, and to help others to grow as well while fulfilling community service requirements.
