PFLAG Pittsburgh is looking for a volunteer Treasurer. In addition to attendance at a monthly virtual board meeting, responsibilities include:

  • Bookkeeping

  • Relay Rainbow Fund requests to the board for approval and maintain records of Rainbow Funds awarded

  • Financial and Budget management

  • Financial Reporting

  • Ensure the Chapter maintains non-profit 501(c)3 status

  • Ensure the Chapter is properly insured to minimize its financial liabilities

  • Manage and maintain the security of chapter subscriptions such as PayPal, Banking, Network Solutions, etc.

  • Ensure the Chapter's financial records are audited when the annual budget reaches $25,000

  • Pay annual PFLAG National dues and enter all required data in the PFLAG National Portal

  • Manage Banking relationship and activities

  • Send thank you letters and donation/membership acknowledgements

  • Lead the Board in developing annual budget

  • Prepare and file all necessary tax forms and provide all records necessary to conduct an independent audit of the Chapter's financial records if and when Chapter's annual income and expenditures cross the threshold where this is mandated

  • Assist Chapter and Board members in the preparation of grant requests

  • Oversight of Chapter fundraising initiatives

  • Oversight of annual membership renewal process (coordinate with Chair of Communications)

Training in specifics of duties will be provided.
