The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, with events held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. Chicago is home to one of the largest Walks in the country annually raising over $1.2 million, and we need passionate volunteers like you to make it a success!
Make an ImpactWhen you volunteer with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you’re directly contributing to advancing research, supporting families, and raising awareness for millions affected by this disease. Join a dedicated group of like-minded individuals passionate about making a difference here in Chicago!
Types of Volunteer ActivitiesWe offer a variety of meaningful ways to get involved, tailored to your skills and interests:
1. Volunteer Executive LeaderLeverage your corporate network to recruit new sponsors and company teams.
Help us build partnerships that support the 2025 Walk season.
Lead your company in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementia
Coach and support Walk participants through phone calls, emails, and personalized outreach.
Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness about the Walk and the Alzheimer’s Association mission in the Chicago community.
Assist with coordinating the event layout and logistics to create an exceptional Walk experience.
Ensure all areas of the event align with the Association’s Mission Pillars: Advocacy, Education, and Support.
Help secure entertainment, plan the Walk route, and recruit additional day-of volunteers.
Engage local businesses to secure donated goods or services, such as refreshments, supplies, or event venues.
Build relationships with community partners to support Walk events throughout the year.
Become a leader in the fight against Alzheimer’s and help create a world free of dementia. Your time and energy can inspire change and bring hope to millions.

Description
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. The Illinois Chapter serves 87 counties, with offices in Bloomington, Marion, Chicago, Joliet, Peoria, Quincy, Rockford, and Springfield. Since 1980, the Association has provided reliable information and care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced public policy changes across the state.
