Volunteers are a vital part of our hospice team! Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and caregivers in the community! Some opportunities for volunteers include:

  • Providing companionship to patients through reading, writing, arts and crafts, music, or simply offering your presence.
  • Providing support to our office staff by assisting with creating resources for patients, organizing, writing cards to staff and patients, and more.
  • Working with our marketing team to put on exciting events for our patients in residential facilities, including concerts, salon days, fashion shows, and more!

We have offices in San Marcos and Bastrop and serve Bastrop, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, and Travis Counties!

Hospice operates as an interdisciplinary team. This team consists of the patient and family, doctors, nurses, home health aides, social workers, spiritual care counselors, volunteers, dietary and other therapists, and bereavement personnel. The most important members of this team are the patient and family, and the team works collaboratively to provide individualized care. Hospice provides a wide range of services available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. These services include medical care, emotional and spiritual support, symptom management, education for the patient and family, provision of medications and medical equipment, and bereavement support.
