Are you passionate about pets and helping others? Join our Pet Peace of Mind program, a unique extension of our hospice volunteer services that ensures patients can keep their beloved pets by their side during their end-of-life journey.
What is the Pet Peace of Mind Program?This program provides support for hospice patients by helping care for their pets. Volunteers assist with:
- Pet walking, feeding, and grooming.
- Transporting pets to vet or grooming appointments.
- Coordinating long-term care plans for pets when needed.
- Gives patients peace of mind knowing their pets are well cared for.
- Provides companionship and emotional support for patients through their pets.
- Helps pets stay healthy and loved during a challenging time.
As an extension of our hospice volunteer program, the Pet Peace of Mind program requires:
- Completion of application, background check, and extensive training.
- A 2-step TB test (done at our Tyler Office)
- Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance (copies required).
