Job Title: Social Media Manager - SCORE Western Massachusetts

SCORE Western Massachusetts is looking for an energetic and skilled Social Media Manager to lead our online presence and connect with our local business community. This role is important for sharing our free mentoring services and educational tools with small business owners and entrepreneurs in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire Counties.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and run a strong social media strategy that supports SCORE's mission to help local entrepreneurs.
  • Create interesting content for social media to promote our mentoring services, workshops, and success stories.
  • Use social media tools to schedule posts and boost reach and engagement.
  • Interact with followers, answer questions, and build a supportive online community for entrepreneurs.
  • Work with SCORE mentors and workshop leaders to highlight their skills and events.
  • Track and analyze social media data to improve strategies and results.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and tips for non-profits and small business support.
  • Team up with the Marketing and External Relations teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
  • At least three years of experience managing social media, ideally in non-profits or small businesses.
  • Proven success in growing social media engagement and audience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, able to adjust tone for different audiences.
  • Experience with social media tools and analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO and how to optimize content for social media.
  • Understanding of the Western Massachusetts business community is a bonus.
  • A passion for supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs.
