This is a Volunteer Camp Host position. The Volunteer will be indoors/outdoors as much as they prefer, working independently mostly, in a remote area but still 20 minutes from Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL.
Camp Hosting for Rood Creek Park (primitive campground). No amenities are provided other than a non-potable water pump at Rood Creek Camp. As the Camp Host for Rood Creek Park, the incumbent should be personable, have good communication skills, and enjoy "roughing it!" The incumbent Volunteer should spend a minimum of 6 months for this position.
The Volunteer Host may live either at Rood Creek Camp or Bluff Creek Camp. Bluff Creek Camp is 10 minutes away from Rood Creek Camp and has electric, water, showers, flushing toilets, and laundry facilities. The Host will live among other campers in the park.
