Organization: Alliance for African Assistance

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our ESL instructor in a small, intimate class setting for Afghan women learning English. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of newcomers to our community.

Time Commitment:

  • Mondays and Tuesdays Or One day
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Some experience in ESL teaching or currently pursuing education in TESOL/ESL
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and cultural sensitivity
  • Female candidates preferred
  • Knowledge of Dari or Pashto is a plus but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teacher with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide one-on-one support to students during class activities
  • Help create and maintain a welcoming learning environment
  • Support students with pronunciation and conversation practice

Class Size: Approximately 10 students
