ABOUT US

My Good Brain is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental wellness among school-aged youth through art. By using art and play, we teach children from a young age how to practice healthy coping strategies for mental and emotional wellness.

POSITION

We are seeking a Volunteer Webmaster to help maintain and enhance our organization’s online presence. This virtual role is perfect for someone passionate about mental wellness and skilled in website management who wants to make an impact from the comfort of their home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update the My Good Brain website to ensure all content is accurate, current, and visually appealing.
  • Content Management: Upload blog posts, event announcements, and resources while optimizing website content for SEO.
  • Design Enhancements: Work on improving website layout and user experience to better engage visitors.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve website-related technical issues.
  • Security: Monitor and implement website security measures to protect user data and prevent breaches.
  • Analytics: Track website performance and provide recommendations based on visitor engagement and traffic trends.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Social Media & Marketing Team to ensure the website aligns with ongoing campaigns and events.
SKILLS

We’re looking for a volunteer with:

  • Experience managing websites using platforms such as WordPress (preferred) or similar CMS tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SEO principles (preferred but not required).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for design.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
  • Location: This is a virtual opportunity; work from anywhere!
  • Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 3-5 hours per week.
