Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is proud to announce openings for Performance Ambassador volunteers for the 2025 Filene Center season. From late-May to late-September, Wolf Trap welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors to approximately 80 performances. These performances vary from rock to jazz to pop to country to classical music, ballet, and opera. The performance season generally lasts 15-17 weeks.
Couples and friends are encouraged to volunteer together. Make this the summer you volunteer at Wolf Trap, the only National Park dedicated to the performing arts!
Duties
· Welcoming visitors
· Answering questions
· Providing directions
· Roving outside the gate
· Sharing the history of the park with the public
· Assisting with event parking
Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Must be able to climb stairs and stand for an extended period.
· Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, humidity, and precipitation.
· Must commit to a 2.5-hour shift/1 night a week (Tuesday-Sunday) for the duration of the season. *
· Must attend an orientation session before the beginning of the season (late April or early May). Dates TBA.
*Performance Ambassadors select one day a week to work a 2.5-hour shift through the season. The season is 15-17 weeks. There is a substitution policy in place if needed and a few excused absences are allowed.

Work Environment
The Filene Center is a large outdoor amphitheater seating 7,028 people. The work is done outdoors and generally at night. Volunteers must be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time. The work is done in all weather conditions, including heat, high humidity, and rain.
· Uneven surface areas, paved areas, and tripping hazards may exist while performing duties
· All work will be completed in accordance with the park safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for staff, and to ensure a safe visitor experience for the public
