The Boys & Girls Club of Vista is looking for a volunteer to join our Finance Committee. The committee meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30am virtually to review financials to share withour Board.. Volunteer responsibilities include reviewing balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, audit, Quickbooks reporting help and reviewing financial procedures. We are looking for someone with a solid financial background and a love of our mission. While this is virtual, we are ideally looking for someone ideally that lives in North San Diego County. Description
Established in 1963, BGCV meets the needs of youth ages 5-18 regularly at five program sites serving youth residing primarily in Vista and Oceanside, California. BGCV is open "when kids need us most" - after school, on most school holidays and during the summer. BGCV offers safe places just for kids where they can learn, grow, and succeed.
Club programs help Club members build healthy habits for life and how to be resilient leaders through mentorship, accountability while developing a growth mindset.
Club programs include:
- Education: Career Launch, STEM, music and homework assistance and literacy practice
- Health and Wellness: health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement and a Children’s Food Garden
- Leadership and Service: leadership development opportunities for youth.
- Sports and Recreation: comprehensive sports and recreational fitness programs.
