Position Title: Volunteer Data Analyst

Department: Administration

Reports To: Founder/President & CEO

Location: Remote

Commitment: Minimum 10 hours per week (Potential to transition into a paid role)

Duration: Ongoing

Position Overview:

We seek a passionate and detail-oriented volunteer to serve as a data analyst and support United Social Services Inc. (USS) in making data-driven decisions. In this role, you will analyze data related to our programs, services, and impact to provide insights that will guide strategic planning and demonstrate our impact to stakeholders and funders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, organize, and analyze program and service-related data.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to showcase trends and outcomes.

• Identify patterns, correlations, and actionable insights within datasets.

• Support the development of data collection tools and surveys as needed.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all platforms.

• Assist in preparing data summaries for grant applications, reports, and presentations.

• Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to understand data needs and objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing and interpreting data.

• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and concisely.

• Familiarity with nonprofit data management systems (preferred but not required).
