In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day you can volunteer with Cathedral Kitchen serving meals.
Once you register you will receive a confirmation and follow up emails with further directions to confirm your shift.
Parking:
You can park in our (small) lot or go to the back and park on Carman St. behind our building. Our front entrance to our parking lot may be closed off at that time as we use the parking lot for our meal service. Just drive around the block to the back of our building. You will see our cars there, too, and/or on 15th St. along Equipment Shares. They allow us to park along their building. Please come to the glass doors across from our parking lot marked "volunteer entrance". Ask for Amanda for tasks upon arrival.

HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
