If you have an hour or more per week to give, Gentiva Hospice welcomes your gifts of time and compassion. You can make a profound difference in someone's life, including your own. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team.
Bereavement Volunteers offer additional support during the 13-month period following the death of a hospice patient. During the grieving process the bereavement volunteer can be a valuable resource, especially for those who lack a solid support network. Support by the volunteer may be provided in a variety of ways, including assisting with administrative tasks such as mailings, facilitating/assisting with a Bereavement Support Group and/or assisting with the Annual Memorial Service and phone calls to provide support to family members.
Hospice volunteers often say their experience is personally rewarding and emotionally meaningful to help those in need at a critical point in their lives. Your volunteer work is significant and can make a positive impact on the quality of others' lives.
We support a wide area, and visits would be set up convenient to you.
