ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Joshua Tree National Park is recruiting campground hosts for our Cottonwood Campground during peak camping season - early February to late May 2025. Start and end dates are flexible, but hosts must commit to at least 6 weeks of service. Camp host sites are available for a minimum commitment of 32 volunteer hours per week per volunteer.

Hosts will answer visitor questions about the area, assist with the campground reservation system, and provide excellent customer service. More information can be found in description and website link below.

Cottonwood Campground (CWCG)

CWCG is in the beautiful Colorado Desert with 62 sites, 3 group sites, potable water, flush toilets, and a dump station all within the campground. There is no cell service, but it can be found at the visitor center and 4 miles south of the campground, depending on your service provider. The host site is located within the campground, has 30 amp hook-ups and can fit max RV length of 36 feet. Hosts are responsible for their own propane.
