ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Must pass background screening. To qualify for an RV site, the volunteer to work a minimum of 24-hours a week alongside the other maintenance volunteers to ensure the upkeep and quality of the parks. Working hours are Monday - Friday from 08:00 - 16:30. Exact schedule to be determined prior to first working day. The volunteer will report to the project office each scheduled morning using their personal vehicle and will then be authorized to use a government vehicle to complete their duties during their scheduled shift. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, carpentry, welding, running equipment, painting, landscaping, minor plumbing, minor electrical, etc. You may also be asked to assist the general public with their questions and concerns, and perform various other duties as assigned. The Corps may also require the volunteer to open the gates at Overlook Park at 08:00 and/or close the gates to Overlook Park at sunset. Gate duty can be assigned on weekdays and/or weekends.


The Corps will provide an RV site at either Potters Creek Park, Cranes Mill Park, or North Park. Each site has 20/30/50-amp electric service, water, and sewer. Volunteer will be required to commute in their personal vehicle from their campsite to the project office. The Corps will not reimburse the volunteer for their mileage.
