Fundraising is a vital part of our nonprofit organization and Canham Farm Horse Rescue is grateful for our past and ongoing donors and funders. All our programs with at-risk horses depend on private donations, grants, corporate partnerships, and sponsors. With so much competition for funding especially in the animal-based non-profit industry we are struggling to secure donors and are looking to improve our social media presence using stories that will encourage donations and recommendations, and increase our reach.
- Manage and promote existing, and initiate, run, and promote online fundraising opportunities: shop to donate, social media fundraisers, and more.
- Create social media content that will inspire donors to support our cause
Skills/Competencies:
- Knowledge of social media business platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, consistency, reliability, and teamwork is a must.
Who should apply:

Mission Statement
Welcome to Canham Farm Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center Our mission is to work with rescue horses, communities, organizations and governments to help improve welfare standards and stamp out equine suffering. Our long term mission is to partner rescued horses with disadvantaged children, adults and children with low self-esteem and help highlight the bond between horse and human, improve horse welfare standards and stamp out equine suffering. We not only work with abandoned, abused, neglected and captured wild horses but aim to provide re-training when needed and educate people to interact with horses in a way that benefits both horse and human. We also offer a Horses Helping Humans program aimed at anyone or group who may benefit from the therapeutic power of horses. The project caters to people suffering from anxiety, stress, addiction recovery, carers and their families, people dealing with difficult circumstances, seniors who are in need of a sense of community, people facing barriers to employment, people who are homeless, vulnerable youth and children and adults with physical limitations such as cerebral palsy, stroke and head injuries. All our sessions are tailored to individual needs, capabilities and aims.
