On January 25, 2025, AASCSC will be partnering with the City of Santa Ana to host the annual Lunar New Year Festival at Centennial Park. We are seeking volunteers available to work.

Requirements:

  • All volunteers must be at least 12 years of age (by the date of the event)
  • This volunteer role requires being in-person at the event
  • This role requires English fluency (limited proficiency is okay so long as you are able to understand general instructions)
  • Volunteers must be able to work outdoors for the entire duration of the shift as a team / with others

Event Date: January 25, 2025 (Saturday), 12 PM to 7 PM

Event Location: Centennial Park (3000 W. Edinger Avenue)

Volunteer tasks include:

  • Assisting with public engagement
  • Facilitating games or other interactive activities
  • Assisting with set-up, clean-up, and other manual work
  • Serving/distributing food
  • Other tasks / special tasks as needed

All necessary training will be provided onsite and easily identifiable staff will be present to support you as needed.

The Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center (AASCSC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 entrusted to serve, protect, and celebrate the most vulnerable elders, youth, and families as they progress through different stages of life. Description

The Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center (AASCSC) is a non-profit organization, based in Orange County, CA (our center is in Santa Ana), that serves all age groups and all community members through an intergenerational approach with a focus on building a stronger and healthier community. AASCSC works closely with other nonprofits and government agencies to promote community health (including social determinants of health), provide direct health services, and to continuously advocate for our community. At the heart of these efforts is our underlying goal to strive for and ensure health equity within our community.
