Friends of North Rosenberg hosts a weekly Senior Hour program for community members that are over the age of 55. Senior Hour offers a place for seniors to create and maintain close social relationships and do activities to keep them stimulated spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
As the Senior Hour Volunteer, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging space for seniors in our community to come together, socialize, and participate in various activities to promote mental and physical well-being.
Duties/ Responsibilities :
Ensure tables, chairs, prize table, and refreshments are set up prior to guests arriving and put away in a timely fashion
Ensure all guests are checked in via Planning Center
Assist new guests with setting up their profile
Lead devotional and pray for participants at each session
Share information about upcoming events/ programs, as well as existing programs
Call BINGO for attendees
Secure and coordinate donations for food and prizes.
Manage a call list for attendees and contact them when they are not in attendance
Work closely with local orgs, senior centers, etc. to promote the program and grow participation
Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and gather feedback from participants to continuously improve and grow the program to meet the needs and preferences of seniors
