BC Cancer Foundation is looking for volunteers to sell 50/50 tickets at this years Rugby SVNS Vancouver tournament, taking place February 21-23rd, 2025! To apply, please create a MyImpactPage account using the following link:

Per B.C. gaming regulations, you must be 19+ to volunteer at this event. Up to 300 volunteers will be selling electronic tickets throughout the three-day World Rugby Sevens Series stop, taking place at BC Place on February 21-23rd, 2025. 50% of the ticket proceeds are donated to the BC Cancer Foundation and 50% to BC Rugby. Volunteers will have free entry into the stadium and are welcomed to take in the action before or after their shift. Please note that volunteers can only use their passes on the day of their volunteering shift and passes are non-transferable. Event Date: Friday, February 21, Saturday, February 22, Sunday, February 23, 2025. Event Location: BC Place Stadium

Roles:

Ticket Seller

Ticket Sellers are responsible for the on-the-ground sales of 50/50 tickets. In teams of 2, when possible, Sellers will be stationed in the concourse during games, promoting the 50/50, and assisting spectators in purchasing their tickets using POS machines.

Responsibilities

• Using Raffle Nexus’ POS systems to sell 50/50 tickets
• Answering FAQs about the 50/50 fundraiser
• Check purchaser’s ID to ensure compliance with BC Government’s gaming laws.
  • DOB must be day of sale 2006 or earlier, e.g. Feb 21, 2006
• Promote the 50/50 through engagement with spectators

Ticket Sellers are preferably extroverted and enjoy engaging with spectators. Staff will accommodate volunteers with mobility challenges through stationary sales booths on the concourse.
