Mission Statement
Through the unifying power of sports and traditional games, we promote sustainable development and education, enhance health and tourism, and foster environmental and cultural conservation. By breaking down social, economic, political, and racial barriers, we aim to inspire personal growth, mutual tolerance, and cultural exchange. Through these efforts, we strive to create sustainable opportunities and pathways for youth, empowering them to build a prosperous and inclusive future.
Description
Sembeza Africa focuses on delivering Quality Physical Education (QPE) programs that promote physical activity as a foundation for learning and life skills. By integrating sports into education, we empower youth to build confidence, develop leadership abilities, and foster inclusivity. Our programs also incorporate elements of Traditional African Sports and Games (TASG) to preserve cultural heritage while making physical education more engaging. Through structured QPE initiatives, we address critical issues such as gender equality, environmental stewardship, and access to education, aligning our work with Uganda’s national development priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Achievements
- Delivered Quality Physical Education programs to over 5,000 students in schools across Uganda, improving their health, leadership skills, and participation in physical activities.
- Partnered with 30+ schools to integrate QPE into their curricula, fostering inclusive and sustainable learning environments.
- Hosted two Ubuntu Sports Festivals, engaging more than 500 participants to promote environmental awareness and cultural education.
