HIV Group Support Group Facilitator (Spanish)

Volunteer as a HIV Group Facilitator with the L.A LGBT Center and help create a supportive space for Spanish-speaking LGBTQ seniors living with HIV to share experiences, build friendships, and foster community!

Why: Your role will directly contribute to their well-being and help reduce isolation among a vulnerable population.

Who: The Los Angeles LGBT Center is an unstoppable force in the fight against bigotry and the struggle to build a better world; a world in which LGBTQ people can be healthy, equal, and complete members of society.

What to Expect:

Volunteers will facilitate weekly group sessions, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for participants to share stories and connect.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, tracking attendance, and collaborating with the Senior Services team.

Sessions are held in person on Thursdays from 10-11:30 AM at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Senior Center.

What's Required:

Volunteers must create a Volunteer Resources account on the Los Angeles LGBT Center website and activate it by attending an information session.

Volunteers must be fluent in Spanish and have strong communication and customer service skills.

Experience working with seniors or knowledge of HIV is a plus but not required.

Volunteers should be responsible, dependable, and capable of creating an inclusive environment.
