Why: By joining the Marketing & Communications Department as a volunteer, you will have many opportunities to create an independent course of learning and skill development while working closely with our team of professionals as part of the largest LGBT organization in the world.

Who: The Los Angeles LGBT Center is an unstoppable force in the fight against bigotry and the struggle to build a better world; a world in which LGBTQ people can be healthy, equal, and complete members of society.

What to Expect: The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Marketing & Communications Department team operates under an integrated marketing structure with an increasing focus on digital media. We are seeking skilled volunteers to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work at events that will vary from large fundraisers to more intimate gatherings, and are held during daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Volunteers needed for:

Photography and/or Videography (event coverages);

Editing (photos, videos) a plus, but not required;

Meet deliverable deadlines (photos, videos).

What's Required:

Ability to maintain professional attitude with co-workers, volunteers, clients, donors, and celebrity guests;

Responsible, respectful, and dependable;

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientation and gender identities in a multicultural setting;

Ability to work under direct and general supervision;

A passion for the Center's work and its mission to make the world a better place for LGBT people;

Skills depending on experience.

Must provide their own photo/video equipment.
