Facilitate seniors in finding support amongst their peers.

Why: Men's Social Group Facilitator supports Senior Services Men's Social Group. This group provides a space for self-identified men to share their voice on various topics in a safe and supported space.

Who: The Senior Services department of the Los Angeles LGBT Center strives to create a safe, welcoming, and respectful community where LGBTQ+ older adults (50+) can come together to learn, connect, build friendships, gain support, and thrive. Our programming provides social engagement and educational and support services to LGBTQ+ seniors.

What to Expect:

Facilitate workshops/activities geared for our LGBTQ+ senior community;

Create an inclusive environment during workshop sessions;

Gather and prepare materials for workshops/activities;

Track attendance for each workshop/activity and submit attendance records to Activities Coordinator;

Other duties as assigned.

What's Required:

Availability Wednesdays 10 am-12 pm, In Person.

Strong customer service skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills;

Able to work independently;

Responsible, respectful, and dependable;

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientation and gender identities in a multicultural setting;

Experience working with seniors a plus.
