The English Resource & Program Development Intern will work closely with Pacific Links Foundation staff to strengthen the capacity of the organization through:

  • Developing the team's and program recipient's English language ability
  • Supporting Vietnam's team research and database infrastructure
  • Providing administrative and editorial support for outreach/PR communications, donor relations and social media

This is an unpaid position, with the option to work virtually. A minimum commitment of 6 months and 10 hours per week is required.

Tasks may include:

1. Program and English resources for the organization

  • Contribute to program activities in the field
  • Teach practical English to staff that will be helpful in report writing and basic computer skills
  • Assist with training and implementation of organizational processes (such as review implementation of confidentiality/privacy issues.
  • Write and edit reports
  • Depending on program expertise and interest, the position also engages in providing structure for program operations

2. Donor Relations & Fund Development

  • Provide editorial and writing support for reports to funders
  • Participate in grant and proposal writing
  • Attend meetings with anti-trafficking networks as needed

3. Advocacy & Outreach

  • Edit and write reports/articles to document achievements
  • Assist in the publication of online and print versions of annual reports and other documents
  • Update websites
  • Social media

Qualifications:

  • Ability to speak/read some Vietnamese
  • Possess strong writing/editing skills
  • Commitment to the empowerment of women and girls
  • Commitment to developing expertise with regards to the issue of human trafficking
  • Data management skills: MS Office, Excel, Publisher, etc.
  • Flexible and demonstrated aptitude for change and learning
  • Willing and able to take initiative
  • Thrive in a team setting
  • Able to work during weekends
  • Able to volunteer for at least 6 months

Your schedule may occasionally need to align with the students' availability outside standard working hours, which can be discussed and coordinated with your supervisor.
