What We Need
Helping OC Cats, a nonprofit working to reduce cat overpopulation and promote humane care in Orange County, is looking for a talented Website Designer to help us bring our online presence to the next level. Our current website uses GoDaddy website builder as platform, but we’re open to switching to WordPress or another free platform if it’s a better fit. We need someone who can get the website updated quickly, including setting up donation links, so we can focus on helping more cats!
How You Can Help
- Give our website a fresh look by updating and improving the design and content.
- Create donation links and landing pages for upcoming projects and spay/neuter events.
- Make sure the site is mobile-friendly, fast, and easy to use for everyone.
- Recommend and set up plugins or tools to improve functionality and accessibility.
- Work closely with our founder to make sure the site reflects our mission and meets our needs.
- Help us get the updates done ASAP-this is a top priority for us! After the initial updates, your help will mainly be needed for occasional tweaks and updates.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience designing websites, ideally for nonprofits or fundraising (bonus points if you’ve worked with donation links!).
- Comfortable working with platforms like GoDaddy, WordPress, or other free website builders.
- Knowledge of web basics like CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Experience creating mobile-friendly and accessible designs for all users.
- A good eye for layout, design, and user experience.
- Someone who’s organized, easy to work with, and ready to hit the ground running.

Description
Helping OC Cats is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded to address the urgent need for humane solutions to cat overpopulation in Orange County. Our efforts focus on organizing low-cost or free spay and neuter clinics, promoting and implementing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, and educating communities about the benefits of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
Since our establishment, Helping OC Cats has made a tangible difference by hosting successful spay and neuter events, reducing the number of stray and feral cats in neighborhoods, and building strong partnerships with local advocates and animal lovers. We are driven by the belief that compassionate action leads to healthier, more harmonious communities for both cats and people.
Our work wouldn’t be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers who share our vision of a world where every cat is treated with kindness and care. Whether it’s assisting with TNR efforts, event coordination, or community outreach, we welcome your help in making a meaningful impact in Orange County.
