The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services. Location: in-person at La Verne, California
Description:
The Cooking Class Workshop Leader will lead a 1-hour cooking class at the Restoration House for our residents to prepare healthy, delicious meals. The workshop leader will prepare new recipes, buy all necessary ingredients, and come to our Restoration House ready to teach our residents!
Requirements:
Volunteer chef or someone with a passion for cooking
Ability to teach and interact with a diverse client population in a respectful manner.
Commitment to our organization's missions and values.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Time Commitment:
One shift a week (1 hour) on Mondays or Tuesdays at 6 PM PST
We hope to have a minimum of one volunteer every week. Shifts may vary depending on the number of volunteers accrued.

Through our work, we hope to stop the downward spiral of at-risk and foster youth by providing them with valuable life, college and career development skills, they will be able to reverse their downward spiral so they can become our future leaders.
Our vision is to empower girls and women to move from hopeless to hopeful! We want to give teen mothers, single mothers, mothers of children with special needs, and mothers that are just in need the knowledge, confidence, and the opportunity to provide a better life for the next generation
