The Fargo VA is looking for Veterans who are enrolled with the Fargo VA HCS to assist in launching the Vet-to-Vet program: a Veteran-led peer support group for Veterans living with chronic pain.
Vet-to-Vet leaders meet weekly for virtual meetings with enrolled Veterans to discuss their journey and experiences living with chronic pain.
Candidates with the following qualifications are being sought:
-Desire to give back to fellow Veterans
- Presently utilizing active self-management strategies to manage
chronic pain condition(s)
- Presently or historically lived in a rural area
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Has a balanced regard of the VA healthcare system (not overly
negative or positive)
- Has experience facilitating groups and willing to participate in
facilitation training
- Has a strong internet connection and basic computer skills
