About Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity
Location:
755 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14609, US
Mission Statement
Bringing people together to build homes, community, and hope.
Description
Since 1984 we have built or renovated over 200 homes in Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties helping families achieve their dreams of home ownership and strengthening local neighborhoods.
Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity partners with low-income families to make home ownership possible. Partner families agree to Habitat's three foundational principals: a demonstrated need for adequate shelter, an ability to pay a no-profit mortgage or loan, and a willingness to partner with Habitat. GRHFH believes in 'a hand up not a hand out' families work sweat-equity hours and once they close on their home pay a no-profit mortgage.
