Interested in signing up to Volunteer with Loaves & Fishes?
We are united to end hunger and transform lives! We do this by providing healthy food and impactful programs to promote self-sufficiency. You are warmly invited to join our community of wonderful volunteers.
By signing up to volunteer with Loaves & Fishes you will join the more than 1,700 volunteers that in 2024 dedicated more than 97,000 hours to assist in distributing more than 8 million pounds of food and providing services that will stop the poverty cycle. Our volunteers always select their own shifts, which vary from sorting food and filling boxes to doing more skilled and detailed work with our clients.
The first step is to create your profile in our scheduling software. We will then invite you to participate in a volunteer orientation session. Each volunteer must attend an orientation in order to be eligible to sign-up for your first shift.
Our volunteer shifts are typically 2-3 hours and are offered at both our Naperville Market and Aurora Hub. Volunteer shifts are offered six days a week! Click here to learn more about our various volunteer roles.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to end hunger and transform lives! Loaves & Fishes Community Services was founded in 1984 and as a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit corporation. Aside from our weekly grocery shopping, we also offer trainings, certified public benefits, emergency financial assistance and more.
Description
Loaves + Fishes serves more than 10,000 clients each week throughout DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will Counties! This requires hundreds of volunteers each week in all areas of operation. Our volunteer roles vary from driving to sorting and packing food to loading carts into our clients trunks. Most shifts are 2.5 hours but training only takes a few minutes. Spanish fluency is always a need but not required.
We always need more volunteer support and could not help our community without it!
