Mission Statement

Our Mission- No One Dies Alone, Afraid, or In Pain

Description

Alamo Hospice's focus is to provide comfort and support for individuals with a terminal illness. Our primary goal is to enhance our patient's quality of life by managing pain and symptoms. Rather than seeking a cure, our hospice team members work together to create a care plan that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our volunteers are a huge part of this! Being paired with a volunteer and having this socialization and companionship helps to greatly improve our patient's quality of life, giving them something to look forward to. We have a wide availability of volunteer opportunities, ranging from administrative support, direct patient care such as companionship, to even spiritual and bereavement support with our chaplain! Volunteering is based around your availability and schedule; volunteers can dedicate as little or as much time as they wish. There is no age limit to volunteer! Our volunteers range from high school students to retired seniors.
