Mission Statement
To bring awareness to the plight of the homeless and to complete the work our Lord asks us to do, "Love thy neighbor as thy self."
Description
HIS Coalition for the Homeless is a grassroots organization whose mission is to "bring awareness to the plight of the homeless and to complete the work our Lord asks us to do, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself’". Through our needs-based homelessness outreach, coalition building, and advocacy efforts, members of HIS Coalition work toward achieving their vision of a world where everyone has access to safe, warm, and dignified shelter. HIS Coalition has been in existence since early 2022 and achieved 501c3 status as of May 24th, 2022.
Our short term goal is to provide a warm and safe shelter during the winter months. Our long term goal is to secure a property to provide individual temporary homes where individuals can recover and know that they are safe, loved and encouraged to move into a future filled with hope. Volunteers are needed! Join us on our journey to complete the work our Lord asks us to do. "Love your neighbor as yourself"
