FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifying Tournament

FIRST Robotics is a program teaching students how to build robots, develop teamwork skills, and foster gracious professionalism. We are seeking volunteer judges to help host our event and develop the next generation of leaders in STEM.

Judges meet with teams to learn about and celebrate the unique journey and accomplishments of each team and evaluate these against award requirements. Judges interact with students during the interview process and in the pits. As a group, Judges determine the teams that receive awards at events.

DISCLAIMER: Registering on Volunteer Match DOES NOT mean you are registered as a volunteer for the event. To officially register, you MUST follow the instructions below. If you would like to watch as a spectator, you may arrive at the venue at 9:30 am. There is no check-in for spectators.

Here are instructions to OFFICIALLY register:

1. Go to firstinspires.org and create an account in the FIRST dashboard.

2. Click the Volunteer Registration tab and choose "Volunteer at an Event."

3. Filter by location and select an event. Choose the role for "judge."

4. Complete your background check and screening for youth protection.

5. Attend a short virtual training for judges.
