Design can be nearly invisible yet it has considerable impact on our everyday lives. AFO helps Oregonians connect to design and the ways in which it shapes their lives and their communities. We offer design programming to Oregon elementary and middle school students through Architects in Schools, we offer Scholarships and the Formation Mentorship program to college students and emerging professionals, we award Fellowships to practicing design and building professionals, we organize events and gatherings that connect Oregonians with the designed environment, and more.
