MHI will expand prior capacity building efforts to empower community health workers through further training and certification to assist vulnerable community members and caregivers with navigating the health care system and addressing the ties between environmental conditions and health and well-being. The Multicultural Health Institute seeks to fill one VISTA position As a VISTA member, you will play a key role in volunteer management, communications/ fundraising, helping to strengthen our outreach and engagement with the community. The primary efforts will address volunteer recruitment, outreach, communications, and fundraising efforts. Experience in any or all of these areas will be beneficial but are not required. Skills a member should bring or be willing to learn to best perform in this position include strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Comfortable with interfacing with a variety of cultures and health literacy levels. Writing, editing, and graphic design skills. Familiarity with fundraising and grant management .Experience with community outreach, preventive screening, social media, mass email platforms, donor CRM (Neon preferred). Strong organizational and communication skills in complex environments, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines .Ability to work independently with strong intrinsic motivation as well as in a team environment. Experience with Google Workspace, including shared drives, sheets, docs, slides, and forms as well as Zoom and other apps. A willingness to learn and grow through shared learning experiences
