As an Indirect Patient Volunteer in hospice care, you play a vital role in supporting the mission of providing comfort and dignity to patients and their families. The position focuses on behind-the-scenes tasks that ensure patients and caregivers receive the best possible care and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry or preparing patient materials
- Create care packages, handmade cards or other thoughtful items for patients
- Help organize and maintain supplies for hospice teams
- Provide assistance to staff with non-patient-facing projects
- Answer phone calls in office
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A reliable and flexible attitude with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to complete training to understand hospice care philosophy
- A desire to make a difference behind the scenes to support patients and families
Time Commitment:
Schedules are flexible, typically requiring just a few hours per week, and tasks can often be customized to fit your availability and skills.
