Mission Statement

Our mission is to strengthen America by providing roadmaps and resources to young Black Americans, so they can realize their dreams and more fully contribute to building our More Perfect Union.

Description

The Lantern Network: Illuminating Pathways to Economic Freedom
For over 150 years financial freedom has been denied to many American families due to systemic bias. Imagine working hard, only to be continually passed over for raises, promotions, and the chance to start your own business. Each dollar denied means a delayed retirement, dashed dreams, and the loss of intergenerational wealth that could have transformed future generations. Although huge swaths of Americans face this reality daily because of implicit or explicit bias, we believe this is 100% solvable!

The Lantern Network
The Lantern Network (TLN) is changing lives and improving communities.
We address the three most significant challenges to success.
1. Mentoring Breaks Barriers and Builds Wealth: Connecting young Black Americans with industry professionals has launched over 275 careers, showing the powerful impact of our mentor-mentee partnerships.
2. Modelling - Representation Matters: Our 'Streaming Stories' series spotlights Black professionals' achievements, inspiring and guiding our mentees through challenges, proving that seeing is believing and becoming.
3. Training & Coaching Works: Guiding aspiring entrepreneurs, we turn dreams into sustainable businesses that close the revenue gap and create jobs
