Join us at PDRI as a volunteer for our Peace Center Project! We're seeking dedicated individuals to help us foster peace and understanding in Kakuma refugee camp and the surrounding host community. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in developing peacebuilding activities by involving community leaders, youth, and women. Your efforts will empower these groups to actively participate in creating a harmonious environment for social cohesion.
Program description
* Training Delivery: Conduct workshops and training sessions focused on peacebuilding strategies for community leaders, youth, women and religious leaders.
* Program Implementation: Assist in organizing and facilitating sports and socio-cultural activities that promote the message of peace and unity.
* Community Engagement: Work with PDRI to initiate and implement programs that connect the refugee camp with the host community, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.
* Meetings and Conferences: Help organize and lead meetings or conferences aimed at discussing peacebuilding and mediation efforts on the ground.
Activity & shifts
The volunteer will be working from Monday to Friday except Saturday and Sunday.
Morning shift: from 9 am to 11:30 am
Afternoon sniff from 2 pm to 4:30 pm
