Are you a grassroot organization based in Kenya?
A change ambassador ?
Or a concerned citizen passionate about voicing your concerns on different issues in the country?
We’re currently collecting data for a survey we are carrying out and would like to collaborate with change leaders around Kenya in this nationwide online data collection exercise.
The goal of our research is to better understand what women and girls value most in menstrual products, including quality, affordability, accessibility, and sufficiency. This initiative is an important step toward creating impactful solutions to challenges surrounding menstrual health.
For the collaborator position , we are looking for individuals or organizations members especially those working in the field of SRHR/MHM to collaborate with us and do a video encouraging community members to take part in our survey, here is a link : https://nguvu.typeform.com/ NoPeriodPoverty Please note, there will be no training for this as we do not think there is need for one, secondly there will be no compensations for collaborators as this is an activity geared on promoting mutual interests. If you’d like to be featured on our page as a collaborator ,Feel free to send a video (to our email) of you(the ambassador) or members of your organization saying a few words on why it’s important to participate in the survey . Mission Statement
To empower Kenyan women and girls by providing comprehensive menstrual health education and access to affordable, sustainable menstrual products, thereby eradicating period poverty and promoting gender equality
Description
Founded in 2023, our organization is dedicated to breaking the cycle of period poverty in Kenya. We believe that every woman and girl deserves the right to manage her menstrual cycle with dignity and health.Through our educational programs, we equip women and girls with the knowledge and skills to understand and manage their bodies. Our programs cover topics such as menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and body positivity. We also provide safe spaces for women and girls to discuss their experiences and challenges related to menstruation. In addition to education, we work to ensure that women and girls have access to affordable and sustainable menstrual products. We partner with local suppliers and organizations to distribute sanitary pads, reusable menstrual products, and menstrual cups to those in need. We also advocate for policies that promote access to affordable menstrual products for all.We have developed a menstrual health education booklet to provide comprehensive and reliable information on menstruation. The booklet covers topics such as the menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and body positivity. It is designed to be accessible and informative for women and girls of all ages.
We believe that addressing period poverty is essential for gender equality and social justice. By breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and providing women and girls with the resources they need, we can create a more equitable and inclusive society.
