Are you passionate about bringing comfort, connection, and joy to others? Specialty Care Hospice is seeking kind-hearted and creative volunteers to engage with our patients through meaningful activities such as arts and crafts, reading, listening to music, and providing companionship.

Volunteer Role: Direct Care Volunteer

Location: 40 miles of 21015 Belmont Village Way, Katy Texas, 77449

Hours: Flexible schedule, 2-4 hours per week (or as your availability allows)

Key Responsibilities:

* Spend time with patients, offering companionship and a listening ear

* Lead or participate in engaging activities like arts and crafts, puzzles, or card games

* Read aloud to patients or play their favorite music

* Support patients and their families by providing emotional comfort and connection

* Assist with life review or memory projects (e.g., scrapbooking, journaling)

Qualifications:

* Compassionate, patient, and dependable

* Enjoys engaging in creative or social activities with others

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

* No medical experience required - just a desire to make a difference!
