We are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to help preserve and maintain the rich heritage of our historic farm. As a Farm Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations and upkeep of our farm. Potential tasks include helping with the care of livestock, assisting with the repair and maintenance of historic farming equipment, and the overall maintenance of the farm.
Possible Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily care of livestock, including feeding, grooming, and cleaning pens.
- Participate in the upkeep of farm buildings and grounds, including landscaping, repairs, and general farm maintenance.
- Help maintain and preserve historic farming equipment (basic mechanic experience required).
- Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to create a welcoming, educational environment for guests.
Qualifications:
- Interest in history, farming, and agricultural practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A willingness to learn and share knowledge with visitors.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
