Interested in becoming more involved with our milk bank? We are seeking volunteers to join our finance committee with the goal of eventually becoming the Board of Directors’ Treasurer.

Who? Individuals with a finance background and knowledge of nonprofits. Must be passionate about our mission.

Time Commitment? Board meetings are held every two months for two hours in the evening (remote). Finance Committee meetings are every two months, held in the mornings (remote). The Board of Directors terms are 3 years, with a possibility of two terms.

Ambassadors: Board members play a vital role in introducing new supporters to the milk bank, donating financially to our work, and raising philanthropic funds from their networks.

About Mothers' Milk Bank Northeast

Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast improves health outcomes for fragile infants by providing equitable access to safe, lifesaving, pasteurized donor human milk, and improving family and community health. Currently serving 100+ hospitals (50% of milk is used in Massachusetts), our milk is dispensed to premature and medically fragile babies when a maternal milk supply is unavailable.

With the help of a collective of generous moms who donate their extra milk, we provide safe, FDA compliant, donor milk. This milk is lifesaving for medically fragile babies and can also enable families to have successful breastfeeding outcomes leading to improved maternal and infant health.
