Mayor Dyer’s Beautify Fresno initiative is hosting a cleanup event in the Granite Park area on Monday, January 20, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., as part of the National Day of Service on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. MLK Day is a federal holiday that honors the legacy of Dr. King and encourages all Americans to volunteer their time to efforts that benefit their community.
This cleanup event will concentrate on the area around Ashlan, Cedar, Dakota and SR168, including Granite Park and the surrounding businesses and neighborhoods.
Volunteers are asked to meet in the Granite Park parking lot off of Cedar Ave. no later than 1:15 p.m., to check in and receive instructions.
All volunteers are required to sign a Liability Waiver form prior to participating in this event. To speed up the check-in process, we encourage you to sign the release waiver electronically prior to the event by visiting https://appdev.fresno.gov/beautify/MLKDay. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign for them.
Beautify Fresno will provide trash bags, paper pickers, vests, and gloves.
