We are looking for a psychology major who will help us write articles on different mental conditions. We are a nonprofit that is focused on helping individuals with neurological and neurodivergent conditions. APA format is a requirement as well as creditable resources. Our founder will help with mentoring and assisting at any time needed for research. For students who are going to graduate school, we will provide a letter of recommendation for students who show they are passionate and serious about their work. For any student who is in a graduate program, we will provide a letter of recommendation for employment.
Position will require an average of 2-5 hours a week. We would like one article submitted every four to six weeks. Exceptions will be made for situations such as midterms or major projects coming up. Volunteers must let our founder know if any additional time is needed.

Mission Statement
At The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation, our mission is to provide the advocacy and educational resources needed to the epilepsy community and our society. We are dedicated to removing the stigma associated with epilepsy and help to create opportunities for individuals battling epilepsy.
Description
We are working to help individuals whose seizures are controlled to gain better educational and economic opportunities in life. We are awarding college scholarships and are working to help with workforce development. Our Purple Warrior Pooches program goal is to help provide grants to people with uncontrolled epilepsy and veterans with TBI, Epilepsy, and/or PTSD to gain access to a medical alert dog. Our PACES program helps individuals battling epilepsy learn how to focus on improving their overall wellness and learn to advocate for themselves. On our website is our community resources to help provide nutritional services, parent services, mental health, prescription, public transportation, Veteran resources, and legal services. We have a blog on our website and a YouTube channel to help people learn about different types of epilepsy, different types of seizures, and conditions that are related to epilepsy.
