We are looking for someone to translate educational material from English to Spanish for our nonprofit organization. We are looking to have a presentation translated every six to eight weeks. For students in higher education or who are studying to become professional translators, we are happy to give a letter of recommendation for your work.

Mission Statement

At The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation, our mission is to provide the advocacy and educational resources needed to the epilepsy community and our society. We are dedicated to removing the stigma associated with epilepsy and help to create opportunities for individuals battling epilepsy.

Description

We are working to help individuals whose seizures are controlled to gain better educational and economic opportunities in life. We are awarding college scholarships and are working to help with workforce development. Our Purple Warrior Pooches program goal is to help provide grants to people with uncontrolled epilepsy and veterans with TBI, Epilepsy, and/or PTSD to gain access to a medical alert dog. Our PACES program helps individuals battling epilepsy learn how to focus on improving their overall wellness and learn to advocate for themselves. On our website is our community resources to help provide nutritional services, parent services, mental health, prescription, public transportation, Veteran resources, and legal services. We have a blog on our website and a YouTube channel to help people learn about different types of epilepsy, different types of seizures, and conditions that are related to epilepsy.
