Treasurer aka Chief Financial Officer

Join the Mexican Talent Network in the Netherlands as "Treasurer, aka Chief Financial Officer" and become part of the Board of Directors, an integral part of our passionate team dedicated to building community and links between Mexico and the Netherlands. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to help us execute our financial strategy to continue growing as a community and create more opportunities to build bridges and events between Mexico and the Netherlands.

Tasks and deliverables during your volunteering tenure 2025-2026:

• Exercise the right to vote within the decisions to be made by the RdTM-NL board of directors.

• Administrative management of the Association's financial resources.

• The preparation and presentation of the necessary financial reports when requested by the board (ideally every 3 months) and the annual report presented at the annual General Assembly.

• You will execute the decisions made by the board of directors in relation to financial resources, carrying out activities such as: collections, payments, and refunds.

• Keep the accounts of RdTM-NL activities and control budgets, together with the activity leader.

• Making the payment of invoices, money in and out before, during and after an event.

• Keep track of the invoices received and issue receipts when requested.

• Support the update of the list of active members updated, together with the Secretary, based on membership coverage.

• Facilitate or coordinate the orientation of new volunteer members about the information and procedures available (together with the Secretary).

• Lead initiatives to facilitate the financial management of the association.

Requirements and qualifications:

• Have official residence in the Netherlands (it is necessary to register with the chamber of commerce and the bank where the association's funds are managed).

• Preferably have served as coordinator or organizer of an event or project within RdTM-NL. If you have not been a member of the association, commit to attend the introductory sessions on the association and the Global MX Network.

• Preferably have experience in budget management and corresponding tools (Google workplace and Excel).

• Minimum time required to perform your role (based on regular activities): 1-2 hours per week plus time required (if necessary) to attend events on behalf of RdTM-NL or MD.

• Submit a cover letter or cover letter including 3 goals to achieve or aspire to during your term.

• Speaking Spanish is highly desirable or at least B2 level is required for this position. Speaking Dutch is a plus.

• Business cards, email, and travel expenses when representing the association as part of the board of directors (if required).

• At the end of your term, you will have acquired or gained experience in membership management, budgeting, and administrative management, among others, and you will be invited to participate in the organization's Advisory Committee.

• Work remotely (and in another time zone if you wish, as long as you commit to the required number of hours and activities)

• Please note that no salary is expected for this volunteer position.
