Cave Restoration

Cave restoration consists of various tasks to restore the caves to natural conditions. Tasks may include picking lint from formations, removing old unused infrastructure, cleaning formations, etc. The main goal of cave restoration is to protect the cave from a build-up of unnatural foreign materials that will impact the cave systems and visitor experiences.
Duties
- Assist with cave restoration
- Remove foreign debris, trash, lint, hair, etc. from the cave
- Clean formations along trail that have been impaired by tracked dirt
- Remove old infrastructure from cave
- Those who are deemed qualified by the supervisor or lead may climb and/or use a rope to reach off trail sections of the cave for restoration
